Essential Functions:

Norris McLaughlin Law Firm is seeking a professional, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist/Office Assistant to join our Allentown, NJ office. In this welcoming, service-focused role, you will help support the day-to-day needs of the office by answering phones and transferring phone calls on multi-line phone system, greeting visitors, accepting deliveries, reserving conference rooms, maintaining meeting reservation calendar, assisting with lunch catering for office events, typing, filing, and performing general office tasks. Previous office experience is helpful. This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We offer medical benefits, a 401(k), life insurance, and paid time off.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform other administrative duties as assigned in support of attorneys and Human Resources Manager.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Clear and professional communication.
Ability to multitask in busy situations.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
Effective written and verbal communication, organizational, and computer skills.
Careful attention to detail.
A welcoming, service-oriented approach.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma required/some college

Physical Requirements:

Able to sit for extended period.
Able to lift at least twenty pounds.

Essential Cognitive Functions:

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Ability to read and interpret documents, reports, and other written materials.
Ability to analyze a problem and suggest potential solutions.
Ability to focus on a task despite frequent interruptions.

Working Conditions:

Employees will be working inside a temperature-controlled office building.
